The start of the new school year is always an exciting time for students and staff. Particularly for me as the new Principal, I have found welcoming our newest learners and meeting established students a very enjoyable part of the role.
Huish Episcopi really is a nurturing and encouraging community. We are very proud of our inclusive approach to our curriculum and constantly strive to set very high standards, whilst at the same time developing positive relationships between staff and students. Our ethos is one of hard work but in a supportive environment, something I would encourage any current or prospective parent to come and see for themselves.
At Huish Episcopi we have an established track as a strongly academic school where we celebrate the success of every learner regardless of their starting point. We are proud of being a successful school, but not complacent. We consistently focus on the quality of teaching and learning through self-evaluation so that we can continue to improve and offer our students the very best education and opportunities to develop.
We are also very proud of the varied extra-curricular opportunities available in our school. Taking part in enrichment activities is an important part of school life, so I am very keen in encouraging students to take part in as many activities as they feel able to, whilst completing their studies.
Should you wish to find out more about the school, please do come along to our forthcoming open evening on 20th September or to one of our Open Mornings (25th, 26th and 27th September). We would be delighted to show you around and answer any questions. We are looking forward to you and your child joining us and thriving in our successful community.
