Huish Students with Cambridge Interviews

Once again Huish Sixth students gain interviews at top universities.

Huish Sixth has an enviable record of supporting students aspiring to the very best universities. We have worked with our students to plan and support their application. The students attended a an interview work shop run by a visiting Oxford professor and have been put through their paces with mock interviews We are delighted that once again this year students are being considered by Cambridge University with interviews currently being held. We wish Maddie, Bethia and Michael the best of luck.
A number of our year 12 students are enrolled on the University of Cambridge HE + programme to provide an insight and support in their applications opportunity. The students are engaged in a programme of visits, tutorials and academic programmes.
We are also delighted that we have 7 students enrolled on the first ever cohort of the Teach First programme in the south west. The programme has been devised to allow students who may not have considered university previously the opportunity to access support and guidance in their journey towards university. The students are supported by graduate mentors as well as visiting a number of universities including Exeter, Bristol and Oxford.
We are very proud of all our students and the support we can offer them to achieve more that they thought possible. The comprehensive careers programme and personal support for applications.
