On Monday 13 February, twenty four students from Year 11 and Year 13 travelled to New York City with Mrs Swaine, Miss Palmer and Mr Sleeman. During our second visit to the bright lights of Manhattan, we managed to fit in even more to our tight schedule which, whilst being extremely exhausting, we managed to make the most of every day.

Everyone gained a lot from the five days away, identifying key areas of the city that have been featured in films and gaining an understanding about how the city has developed throughout its history and recovered from events such as 9/11. A highlight was having a good singalong at Ellen's Stardust Diner as well as learning the rules of basketball, marvelling at how a 48 minute game manages to last 2 hours 20 minutes!
