Congratulations to Chelston House on winning the House Championship for 2021-2022.

I'm sure we all pleased to see teachers get a pay rise, however this is not being funded by the government which means we will have to find the money from current budgets. This will inevitably have an impact on the curriculum and what we can offer to pupils.

Free one hour swimming session for any keen swimmer!

Our spring musical concert 'Huish Live' will feature performances from a wide range of students, from individuals and small groups, to school ensembles like our choir and various bands. There will be students who have been making music for a long time, as well as those just starting out. This event promises to be a great showcase of the amazing talent here at Huish! Due to significant staff disruption due to Covid 19, regrettably we will have to close year 8 tomorrow, 5 April 2022. It will not be possible to run live online lessons as staff may be being used to cover absent colleagues. We will therefore ensure that work will be available on Google Classroom. Currently we are only planning to close lessons to Year 8 for one day but if the situation changes we will let you know as soon as we can, as it may be necessary to extend the closure, or to close other year groups. I am very sorry we have to do this, but we cannot run all lessons with the current levels of staff absence. Thanks for you forbearance.
