Dahren Davey
Dahren attended Huish Academy in the 1980s before going on to gain a degree in Natural Sciences. Dahren then gained a MA in fashion at the Royal College of Art. Since leaving education Dahren has worked as a designer for the award winning fashion guru Vivienne Westwood, has designed for global brand Joop! and also worked as a freelance fashion designer.
Sarah Ball
Sarah attended Huish Academy in the 1980s before going on to gain a BA in Animation in the early 1990s. Sarah has worked on the production teams of many children's programmes and films including Bob the Builder, Chuggington and Shaun The Sheep. Sarah was awarded an BAFTA, (animation), in 2003.
Hannah Lewis
Hannah attended Huish in the late 1980s before going on to study at the Edinburgh College of Art specialising in film production. She has since had a successful career in film production working for companies such as the BBC, Channel 4, Al Jazeera and Channel 5. Hannah won a BAFTA Award - Best short film "Home" in 2000
Alice Temperley MBE
Alice attended Huish Academy in the early 1990s and went on to graduate from the Royal College of Art and Central St Martins with a degree in Fashion. Alice has since built a global fashion brand selling her label in over 37 countries. She has retail outlets of her own in London, Los Angeles and Dubai. Alice has designed for Hollywood stars including Penelope Cruz and Halle Berry. Alice has also designed gowns for both Princess Katherine and her sister Pippa Middleton. Alice was appointed an MBE for services to the fashion industry in 2011.
Catherine Robertson
Catherine studied at Huish in the late 1980s and early 1990s before gaining an HND at Berkshire College of Art 1997. Catherine then studied for a BA in Fashion and Textiles at the Somerset College of Art and Technology. Catherine is now a teacher of Textiles Huish Episcopi Academy.
George Henry Longly
George attended Huish Academy in the 1990s before studying Fine Art at Central St Martins in London. Since then George has forged a successful career as a conceptual artist. George has exhibited in many major galleries including the Serpentine and Saatchi Galleries in London, the Pitt Street Gallery in New York and last year held a major exhibition at the Lisson Gallery in London.
Ray Heap
Ray studied at Huish in the 1990s before going to study Fine Art at the University of Kingston. Ray studied for his PGCE at Exeter University and is now a highly-respected and well-liked teacher of Art at Huish Episcopi Academy.
Andy Heap
Andy studied at Huish in the late 1990s and early 2000s. After leaving Huish Andy studied Aviation Management at London Metropolitan University before qualifying as a pilot. Andy is now a 1st Officer working for Emirates Airlines.
Gavin Echlin Patterson
Gavin Echlin Patterson is a British marketer who was appointed as chief executive of BT Group plc in September 2013. Before joining BT, he worked for Telewest and Procter & Gamble. He is the president of the Advertising Association and also sits on the non- executive board of British Airways.
Gavin attended Huish Episcopi Academy in the 1980s and recently returned in July 2015 as guest speaker at our annual prize-giving event. It was an honour having Gavin speak to our students and parents as he recalled his time at Huish with great fondness.
Matilda Temperley
Attended Huish Episcopi Academy 1993-1998
In September 2015 Matilda won the Royal Photographic Society's Vic Odden award (for a notable achievement in photography for those under 35) for her sell out book Under The Surface - Somerset Floods. In 2014 Matilda was a finalist in the SONY World Photo awards for her work in Ethiopia. In 2014 she was also a finalist in the CIWEM Environmental Photographer Of The Year awards for her work on the Somerset floods.
Charlotte Baker
Head Girl at Huish Episcopi 2008/9 has graduated as Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cambridge, School of Clinical Medicine.
At the graduation ceremony Charlotte received the William Harvey Studentship prize, awarded to the top scoring students in the Stage 1 Assessment.
